The University of Guadalajara stands out to implement strategies to improve in each of the 5 areas reviewed in the model. I could say that we are halfway there, but we still need to review and redefine some university policies and procedures to reach the ideal levels.

In relation to the 5 characteristics that Opensouce takes into account to qualify an institution and that include: 1.- transparency, 2.- inclusivity, 3.- adaptability, 4.- collaboration and 5.- community; I consider that the University of Guadalajara is in terms of the first characteristic in a level 2, and in terms of features 2, 3 and 4, in level 1, transiting to level 2 and in terms of the characteristic 5; I consider that level 2 and some characteristics of level 3 have been achieved.
