One way to know if it is authentic is to stick your lips and these will remain attached to the mud. Deeply rooted in popular taste, with a sober color and brilliant texture, the canelo clay is elaborated mainly in El Rosario, Tonalá. Later it began to be manufactured in Tatepozco, municipality of Tlaquepaque. Family technique pottery that is transmitted by four generations.
